At Timberland Goldens, we take pride in giving our puppies the added care that will help them adapt to the changes and challenges of their lives.  All our puppies receive the early neurological stimulation (ENS). ENS is a program that involves a window of time which begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day.  It has been proven that this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual puppy. Based on years of research, it was learned that early neurological stimulation have important and lasting effects. The benefits noted are:
   

     1. Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
    2. Stronger heart beats
    3. Stronger adrenal glands
    4. More tolerance to stress
    5. Greater resistance to disease.
    6. More active and exploratory than their non- stimulated litter-mates over which they     

         were dominant in competitive situations.

We are convinced, after several litters of our own, of the help these early exercises give to our puppies. Some of their new owners have expressed their amazement at the adaptability and learning capabilities of their puppy.  Some of these owners have previously had Golden Retrievers as prior pets, and noticed the differences right away.  Phenomenal new home adaptability and house training skills are two of the common replies we get within the first weeks of their adoption.  Additionally, due to the facility design and our method of raising them, the puppies are usually familiar with "good potty practices" by the time they are 8 weeks of age.  You will need to continue the training, however, and be observant to when they wimper to go outdoors.

Prior to puppies going to their new homes, they will have been de-wormed and vaccinated (including the 5-way vaccination). We provide a vet health checkup at 8 weeks.  It is important to know that we provide the attention to our puppies so they acquire the needed skills of socialization and a variety of environmental exposure for complete mental stability.

OUR PRICES

Our prices are reflective of the individual dam, the stud used, AKC puppy registration preferences/allowances, and gender.  The value of a litter's pup is usually placed at the time of whelping.  Our prices usually start at about $1,500 per puppy, and can go up from there.  We have a general wait list as well as a wait list associated with each female we breed.   When you apply to acquire a puppy from us, you should be specific about which of our girls you like best.  Additionally, it may increase your chances of getting a puppy sooner, if you include a 2nd choice mother.  When you are selected to receive a puppy, you will be contacted for final verification and deposit payment (should you be interested in a puppy at that time).  If you choose to commit, a non-refundable deposit (amount depends on the value of the puppy, but usually between $300 and $500) is required and will be applied to your final payment. We normally have a modest wait list, however since we do not require a deposit to be placed on our wait list (only your name, phone number and email address is required) it is difficult to know how many on our wait list are committed to purchasing.   We really don't know until the puppies are born and deposit is required.
